GTR 790 MiZ – Detailed Information

The mast-integrated extraction unit of the GTR 790 MiZ enables significantly faster and, above all, more ergonomic work during window sampling and dynamic probing. The MiZ system, field-proven for over 15 years, not only reduces the operator’s physical strain to a minimum but also considerably accelerates the sequence change between driving and pulling. The drilling sequence transitions “seamlessly” into the extraction work – no heavy tools need to be moved manually. The MiZ is extremely fast, typically requiring only 30 seconds per meter of extraction.

At the same time, the MiZ proves to be significantly stronger during extraction compared to crawler rigs with mast extensions, where the force axis – offset from the drilling axis – is generated outside the mast plane. Design-related tension at high pulling forces can lead to significant losses in efficiency and power here.

With the MiZ, the force and action axes are in the same plane. The hydraulic pressure is transferred almost 100% to the drill rods.

The GTR 790 MiZ works just as reliably with a hydraulic hammer as it does with a drop weight unit. The optional tool change between hydraulic hammer and drop weight unit is completed within minutes, as usual. An asphalt/concrete core drill can also be operated as easily as before. The drill bit (102 mm) fits through the MiZ.

If necessary, the MiZ can be opened for maneuvering or completely removed in a matter of minutes.
